We have been there for each other on both of our journeys towards living a happier, healthier life, including healing our relationships with food and body, and we have made it our life's mission to partner with you to help you do the same. We truly believe we were meant to find each other so that we can guide and inspire you to take back your health and find food freedom just as we have. This is how Re-Nourishing Roots was born!

Re-Nourishing Roots Is Born

Nutrition, fitness, and health advice can often appear conflicting and confusing. We are living in an ever-expanding age of “nutritionism”, where we focus so much on nutrients and components that make up our food rather than on the food itself. Diet and fitness industries are constantly bombarding us with “get fit quick” schemes that include diets (think: restrictive eating plans), exercise equipment and supplements promising you that body you've always fantasized about. Modern day nutrition and exercise has evolved into a toxic “wellness culture”. We are constantly being told our bodies aren’t good enough the way they are, and we must work on changing them in an attempt to fit society's unattainable beauty ideal.

As a result, eating healthy and exercising have become unnecessarily complex and sadly, stressful. Each day we are faced with conflicting messages about nutrition, exercise, and health from so called professionals, the media, food & supplement industries, family, and our peers. It’s no wonder that so many individuals are struggling with their eating and exercise routines! If you’re struggling with any of these challenges, know that you’re not alone.

Re-Nourishing The Body Through Nutrition

Part of our mission is to help you finally enjoy eating again, and learn how to tune into your body’s innate wisdom to learn what and how much to eat to feel your best (mentally, physically, and spiritually).

Our approach to nutrition is rooted in intuitive eating, Health at Every Size ® (HAES®), and sustainability.

Throughout our work we emphasize that delicious and nutritious food should go hand in hand. One thing you won’t ever experience while working with us is deprivation.

Intuitive Eating: Getting Back to Our Roots

Intuitive eating is a non-diet approach that will help you heal your relationship with food and your body. We will help you tap into your inner intuitive eater. This involves guiding you in listening to your body and honoring your body’s individual needs including hunger, fullness, satisfaction, and pleasure. You will gain nutrition knowledge and insight that allow you to experience food freedom (think: not feeling anxious or obsessive around food!), stop the yo-yo dieting, trust yourself around all foods, and feel confident in your food choices.

By working with us you will learn how, what, and when to eat based on your body’s internal cues rather than external cues (think: others telling you what you “should” and “shouldn’t” eat, meal plans, etc.). You will learn to re-nourish your body without food-related deprivation, restriction, stress, guilt, shame, and preoccupation.

Health at Every Size ® 

Our approach is rooted in the principles and practices of Health at Every Size ® (HAES®). We will never put you on a diet or encourage weight loss as the primary goal. Instead, we will help you tap into your body’s inner wisdom to assist you in learning how to take care of yourself in all aspects of your self-care including food, movement, stress management, relationships, sleep habits, and more. Re-Nourishing Through Functional Fitness

We live in a world where exercise has become superficial. People are motivated by an ideal body image that has been implanted by societal norms, which can be a major barrier to achieving a life of freedom through intentional movement

At Re-Nourishing Roots we will teach you to move your body in ways that promote longevity, and reverse the damage from living a modern lifestyle. More importantly, we will work with you to find activities that you genuinely enjoy because exercising shouldn’t feel like a chore! When it comes to helping you reach your fitness goals and human potential, these are the areas we will focus on while taking a functional fitness approach.

Our mission

Our mission is to inspire and guide you to take back your health by getting back to your roots; the way you were meant to eat, drink, move, and live. We believe that you have all that you need within you to live a full, authentic life, and promote your health and well-being. Our job is to help you tap into that intuitive wisdom. We take into account and help you navigate all important areas of your life that impact your overall health and well-being (including sleep, stress, movement, nutrition, mindset, etc.) to live your happiest, most fullest life possible.
